NDI at the European Economic Congress
The European Economic Congress is an event that sets directions for business and economic development in the region. In this place, NDI Group could not be missing – it actively participated in the entire event, especially where there was talk of large investments and the prospects for the economic development of our country.
We participated in discussions about local content strategy, the current economic situation, and upcoming trends that will shape our sector in the coming years. One of the highlights was the panel “A Polish company, what does it mean?”, in which CEO Szymon Reptowski emphasized, among other things, the importance of Polish capital.
– When I say that capital has nationality, I am talking about it from the perspective of the development of the Polish economy after 37 years in a purely market situation. The situation was different in the early 1990s, when we needed „know-how”, we needed to learn to work efficiently, and now the perspective is completely different.
– If we want to take another step forward in economic development, Polish capital should have the opportunity to continue to develop. For example, the SAFE program is supposed to contribute to the Polish economy PLN 180 billion for our defence, and no one is talking about the fact that last year negative cash flows from capital ownership reached PLN 140 billion, so every year we contribute slightly less in this respect. The nationality of capital matters. We are building security, development opportunities, and giving our economy the opportunity to undergo the transformation it needs.
– Of course, some of this money comes back and is reinvested. Why? Because it pays off. We are at a stage where we should be building our brands and entities that will expand and shape our future in 15, 20, or 50 years.
A Polish company, what does it mean? The discussion continues
– I have a dream that Polish financial institutions, Polish banks, would want to significantly support and build Polish capital. If we want to go a step further, we need to build an ecosystem that is more stable, also in terms of regulations and laws, within which we can grow. We must support each other to make the development of Polish capital even more dynamic. The development of Polish enterprises will therefore mean the development of our country – Szymon Reptowski concluded.
