NDI Group begins implementation of the S6 section as part of the Western Bypass of Szczecin

We have signed a contract for the construction of the Dołuje–Police section of the S6 expressway, forming part of the Western Bypass of Szczecin. The contract value amounts to nearly PLN 695 million, and completion of the 11.9 km section is scheduled for 2029.

According to the schedule, 10 months have been allocated for design works and 22 months for construction works, excluding winter periods. The project has already obtained the ZRID decision (permit for the implementation of a road investment), which will allow for the prompt handover of the construction site and the commencement of works in the coming months. Full-scale construction is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.

The section includes the construction of two road interchanges—Szczecin Krzekowo and Szczecin Głębokie—14 bridge structures, and additional smaller engineering structures, including wildlife crossings. The route will run through forest areas and near the towns of Wołczkowo, Sławoszewo, and Tanowo.
The project is of key importance to the region’s transport system. Once all sections of the Western Bypass of Szczecin are completed, it will form a full ring road around the city, improving transit traffic flow and relieving the existing road infrastructure.

—We are pleased that we have already been able to sign one of two contracts that will significantly improve connectivity across the entire Szczecin metropolitan area. As a Polish company with extensive experience, we want to continue developing, and delivering such an investment is both an important opportunity and a great responsibility for us. We are building for this region, but above all—for all of us — said Szymon Reptowski, Vice President and CFO of NDI, during a press conference.
