Reconstruction of two bridge structures in the vicinity of Września and Słupca on the A2 motorway has been completed

The consortium of NDI Energy and NDI S.A. has successfully completed the works related to the reconstruction of two engineering structures in the concession section of the A2 motorway. As part of the works commissioned by Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A., the flyover over the national road DK 15 in Września and the bridge over the Struga Bawół river near the Słupca interchange were rebuilt.

The bridge in Września consists of two independent structures, one for each carriageway of the motorway. The reconstruction required the southern carriageway and then the northern carriageway to be closed to traffic in successive stages of work. Similarly, work proceeded on the bridge over the Struga Bawół river, where two independent structures were constructed for each carriageway of the motorway.

The scope of work included the demolition of the existing structures and the construction of a new structure with pile foundations to bring it into line with current requirements.

– Thanks to the cooperation and commitment of the entire team, we were able to complete a very important project, which was work on the concession section of the A2 motorway. This was a valuable experience for our company, as up to that point we had mainly been involved in railway or energy construction. Now we have proved our capabilities and professionalism also in road projects involving large engineering structures. I am glad that we have met the Employer’s expectations, and that the drivers can now use the new infrastructure,’ said Cezary Chruściński, President of the Management Board of NDI Energy.
