A new standard in training future doctors in Białystok
Just 428 days after obtaining the building permit, the Medical University of Białystok has received its completed and fully operational Training and Examination Centre. Delivered by the NDI Group under a ‘design and build’ contract, the facility will serve students and academic staff alike, setting a new benchmark for medical education in the region.
The NDI Group has completed the construction of the Training and Examination Centre at the Medical University of Białystok. The building, which has a cubic volume of nearly 50,000 m3, features lecture theatres equipped with advanced audio-visual systems, twelve specialist OSCE rooms replicating hospital ward working conditions, and multi-functional seminar rooms. The facility also houses a large lecture theatre with a seating capacity ranging from 300 up to 600 people.
The investment project was delivered comprehensively – from the development of the design documentation and securing the required administrative decisions, through the execution of construction works, up to obtaining the occupancy permit.

The Training and Examination Centre is one of the most critical investment projects of the Medical University of Białystok. The facility has been designed as an advanced infrastructure for training future doctors, enabling practical classes and medical simulations to be conducted under conditions that meet contemporary medical education standards.
From the very beginning, representatives of the university were involved in the project’s delivery, co-creating the concept of the facility and supervising its development at subsequent stages. ‘We are happy and proud because the Training and Examination Centre, the Alphabet of Medicine, is something we have dreamed of. We owe this success to our joint work with NDI and our site managers who assisted with this investment,’ says Prof. Adam Krętowski, PhD, DSc, Pro-Rector for Digital Medicine and Clinical Research at the Medical University of Białystok.
The delivery of the Training and Examination Centre is an example of smooth cooperation between the investor and the contractor on a demanding technological project. The completion of the investment opens a new chapter not only for the university but for the entire academic community. The project was delivered with funding from the National Recovery Plan.
