NDI Energy will implement another tram investment project in Poznań
In Poznań, a contract was signed for the second stage of construction of a tram route in the city centre. The investment project on Ratajczaka Street will not only improve public transport but also introduce a new quality of public space thanks to the reconstruction of the street and traffic calming.
A consortium of NDI Energy (leader) and Terlan signed an agreement with Poznańskie Inwestycje Miejskie for the construction of a new tram route in the centre of Poznań. The subject of the contract is the implementation of the second stage of the route on Ratajczaka Street – from Św. Marcina Street to Królowej Jadwigi Street, including the intersection with Matyi and Wierzbięcice Streets.
The investment project includes not only the construction of new tracks and stops, but also the comprehensive reconstruction of Ratajczaka Street. A new south-north communication axis will be built, which in the future will improve the connection with the Garbary area and the northern districts of the city, including Naramowice. The project also involves calming car traffic, which will increase the safety of all users of urban space.
– We are pleased to once again participate in the development of Poznań’s transport infrastructure together with our long-term partner, Terlan. It is important to us that our experience and competences contribute to the creation of a modern and resident-friendly urban space – says Cezary Chruściński, president of NDI Energy.
Construction work is scheduled to begin in autumn this year.
