More convenient and faster access to the city centre. NDI will build a new transport hub in Kraków
A modern bus terminal with a Park & Ride car park will be constructed at the junction of Armii Krajowej and Bronowicka streets. The NDI Group has signed a contract for the implementation of this investment, which will integrate public transport in Kraków and improve mobility in this part of the city.
The project is intended to become an important transfer hub, integrating private car transport with public transit and improving accessibility for both residents and commuters from surrounding areas.
The design includes bus platforms and a terminal building featuring dispatcher rooms, a passenger waiting area, restrooms, social and technical facilities, and auxiliary spaces necessary for efficient operation. Directly above these will be a car park, which will also serve as a roof for the terminal. Drivers will be able to leave their cars there and conveniently continue their journey using public transport.
Elevator shafts and external staircases are planned to ensure fast and safe movement between different zones of the facility. The project also includes reconstruction of the road system in the vicinity of the junction, including modernization of roadways, slip roads, and a section of the tram track, along with the necessary relocation of utility networks. User comfort will also be enhanced by well-designed connections between Bronowicka Street and Armii Krajowej Street.
The building will be approximately 85 meters long, over 75 meters wide, and slightly more than 10 meters high. Its volume will be 22,000 m³, and the parking facility will accommodate 200 cars.
A green rooftop space is planned, aligning the project with environmentally friendly construction standards. This investment represents another step toward developing modern, sustainable transport infrastructure in Kraków. It will not only improve daily commuting but also enhance passenger comfort and safety, creating a functional and user-friendly interchange hub.
Completion of the terminal, which will be carried out under a “build” formula, is scheduled for spring 2028. The contracting authorities are the Kraków Municipal Road Authority and Kraków Waterworks. The general contractor is a consortium of NDI S.A. and NDI Sopot S.A., and the project value exceeds PLN 73 million (gross).
