The value of the project construction works adds up to PLN 93,783,711.72 gross. Their execution in the ‘design and build’ system is planned for 22 months.

The purpose of the project is to increase the train travelling speed from the current 50 km/h to 80-100 km/h.

The investment comprises revitalisation of ca 40 km of railway line No. 207 between Chełmża and Grudziądz, and overhaul of the line-related infrastructure. The construction works will involve e.g. full replacement of the track rails over the distance of ca 38 km, modernisation of 38 crossings and 10 platforms, plus repair of 56 culverts. The line will be fitted with the railway traffic control installations, some crossings will be given half-way barriers. Traffic controls, telecommunication devices, and power installations (feed lines, lighting, and cross-over electric heating installations) will be replaced at the stations.
The investment in the section from Chełmża to Grudziądz, once completed, will improve the efficiency of the connections within the voivodship and the network accessibility to transport.
