Completed
The main aim of the project was to improve road traffic safety and traffic conditions for all users.
A 5.5-kilometre section of National Road 91 (DK91) was reconstructed, starting at the intersection with Długa Street in Zawada and ending at the border with Siedlec Duży, passing through Romanów and Siedlec Mały.
The project included, among others, the reconstruction of the carriageway with corrections to the geometry of the main alignment, the approach sections and the construction of emergency crossovers.
The investment has improved the safety and comfort of both drivers and pedestrians. Road safety measures, including safety fencing, horizontal and vertical road markings, reconstructed crash barriers and new traffic lights, were implemented.
As part of the environmental protection measures, culverts under DK91 and roadside ditches at access roads to adjacent areas were reconstructed. Amphibian fencing was installed to protect small animals, and noise barriers were erected to reduce traffic noise by limiting and dispersing sound waves.
The reconstruction of DK91 is an important element of the Trans-European Transport Network.
