NDI Group is the general contractor of the works for the new teaching building with underground car park.
The project involves the construction of a new five-storey building: four above-ground storeys, one underground storey, which will house, among other things, lecture halls and classrooms. It will be connected with the existing library.
Construction is divided into two phases.
The first involves mainly earthworks, reinforced concrete and structural work, roofing and the installation of external facades and the construction of the façade.
The second phase is the finishing works including the electrical, IT and sanitary installation works, as well as landscaping around the building and making the connection to the existing library building.
The securing of the planned excavation is being carried out using the vibration-free method.
The building area is over 2,800 m2, the volume is 61,000 m³, while the usable area of the new building will be as much as 1,538.38 m2.
The contractor has 12 months to complete the first phase, and similarly 12 months to complete the second phase.
