NDI has placed the most advantageous tender for modernisation of a railway line in Mazovia

The Consortium of NDI from Sopot and Balzola from Spainhas submitted the most advantageous tender priced at PLN 11, 733,425 million gross in the procurement procedure for modernisation of the railway line from Tłuszcz to Ostrołęka. The works are to commence in July and will continue until the end of this November.

The tender developed by the NDI-Balzola Consortium was the cheapest of the 12 tenders received in the procedure. The investment is pursued on commission from Polskie Linie Kolejowe. The awarding entity allocated PLN 14.76 million gross to cover the core scope of the works alone.

Project scope:
– producing the necessary design documentation,
– compiling the geodesic inventory list,
– obtaining the necessary administrative decisions,
– performing the works in the ‘design and build’ system,
– producing the as-built documentation.

The track line parameters upon modernisation will enable an increase of the driving speed to100 km/h along the section Tłuszcz – Wyszków, and to120 km/h between Wyszków and Ostrołęka. Modernisation of the line has been sought for by the Ostrołęka Power Station, which plans to add a new power unit. The contract will be financed from the Railway Fund and PKP’s own resources.
